ABOUT US
Swimming Wonders is a unique and complete water based program that starts with AquaBumps, our classes for mums-to-be and follows with our well-researched and structured Baby Swimming and Learn To Swim courses taught by our highly experienced and committed team of coaches all qualified and specialised in baby and children swimming.
Our courses are six weeks long to allow our Wonder families to plan their busy schedules ahead and to make sure the little ones have enough time to discover the wonders of swimming without having to commit to a full term.
We have weekday and weekend classes in amazing five star venues throughout Dubai.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Gemma is our original Swimming Wonder and the heart behind Swimming Wonders.
Teaching since 2008, Gemma holds ASA Level 1 and Level 2 Swimming teacher, STA level 2 Baby And Pre- School, HABC Level 2 International, and Dubai Award in Pool Lifeguarding.
She designed the Swimming Wonders program through research and experience and continuously reviews it to make sure all the team always teaches the best techniques and exercises which are most beneficial for the little ones. She is originally from Spain and Mum to 2 amazing kids.

In her own words
“I have always had a passion for swimming and love being with babies so once I had my first child I decided to quit my successful full-time job in London and qualified as a Baby and Toddler swimming instructor. I have been teaching baby swimming since then and through dedication, passion, and a drive to teach the little ones all the basics and benefits of early swimming, Swimming Wonders was born.”
THE WONDER TEAM
Our experienced and specialized coaches are passionate about what we do and this is why we can proudly say we are Dubai’s Baby and Toddler Swim specialists. Our courses are 6 weeks long. This allows families the flexibility to plan their holidays, return to work, account for changes in their babies' routines and any unforeseen circumstances. You do not have to commit upfront to a full term.
COACH CLAUDIA
Claudia has been teaching Baby Swim since 2015. She holds ASA Level 1 and Level 2 along with a Masters in Baby Swim. She is from Italy, Mum to two gorgeous boys and a self-proclaimed fitness addict.
In her own words “In 2015 I took my eldest son to his first baby swim class and since then I have never left the water. I was working full time in marketing and communication but took on coaching at the same time, but when I moved to Dubai in 2018 coaching baby swim became my full time job.
When I am in the water with our little wonders I feel so happy and proud. Helping them grow their confidence, the fun, the happiness and the safety in the water is priceless!”Claudia is currently working on furthering her career in health and fitness and gaining her Level 3 personal training certificate so she can follow her dream of working with pre-natal and post-natal mothers.
COACH HAYLEY
Hayley is originally from London and a mother to two little ones. She has been in Dubai for seven years. Prior to joining Swimming Wonders Hayley worked in the relocation industry but has loved watching her children develop their confidence in the water so much she wanted to share this enjoyment with others.
When not swimming or running around after her little ones Hayley enjoys hiking, skiing, and watching rugby whilst spending time enjoying good food and drink with family and friends.
Hayley holds a L1 and L2 Swim England and loves sharing her water passion with babies and toddlers.
CHERYL
Cheryl is our office guru and the one doing the magic behind your requests!
She joined Swimming Wonders in October 2020 and has been helping you all ever since with all your requests and registrations.

Always with a smile and ready-to-help attitude, she makes sure everyone is booked in as soon as a space becomes available.
​
Having a background in fashion (she always looks spot on!) she took her perfectionist side to Swimming Wonders and brought the admin under control!
COACH TANIA
Tania joined Swimming Wonders in September 2020 after having her second child and changing careers.
Tania initially joined Gemma’s classes in 2016 as a client, when she attended her classes with her first child as a new mum.
After having her second child, she decided to change careers and qualified as a Swimming instructor and received specialized training as a baby swimming instructor from Gemma.
A swimmer herself, she found teaching swimming is the most rewarding job ever.
She specialises in private classes and works her magic to change fear of the water into confidence. With the most contagious smile, coach Tania is always there for our families and for Swimming Wonders.
COACH AMI
Ami has spent most of her life in the water, swimming competitively as a teenager and gaining her ASA teaching qualifications early on.
Ami has a wealth of swimming knowledge and experience. She is from the UK, Mum to 2 fabulous kids and has been living and swimming in Dubai since 2015.
In her own words “My passion for baby swimming started when I took my own children for classes in the UK. I loved watching their confidence grow while socialising and having fun. I feel proud and lucky to be helping babies to be safe around the water and have a lifelong love of swimming.”

She is highly loved by all our families with her caring and gentle manners and has been part of our Swimming Wonders team since 2018
COACH FLOR
Our lovely coach Flor is riginally from Argentina, she has lived in Chile, California and Washington DC before moving recently to Dubai with her husband, her 8 year old twin boys, 6 year old boy and her little girl, who's 4.
She is extremely passionate about babies and any type of sports.
When Flor is not at the pool, you will find her playing paddle, futbol or tennis, socializing with her friends or spending time with her husband and kids!
She is qualified as a swimming instructor and specialised in baby swim and she is super excited and grateful to begin her journey with Swimming Wonders, which she sees as a unique opportunity to put both of her passions to work.
COACH DELPHINE
Delphine has been teaching with Swimming Wonders for the past two years. She is super passionate about swimming having started swimming herself at the age of 3 years old. At 7 years old Delphine started professional swim training and Synchro swim, going on to compete internationally.
​
Delphine is from Lebanon and has spent a lot of her time living in Dubai. For 5 years she was training the Synchro team here and at the same time competing for the UAE team.
Delphine really loves teaching the young children as it makes her so happy and proud to see them grow in confidence and skills, whilst also bringing them safety in the water.
Qualifications:
-ASCA levels 1 to 4 in Swimming coaching
-ASA 1 to 2 in Syncronized swimming
